iPod touch Is it better leave your itouch on sleep/wake or turn it off?

I usually use it everyday, is it better to leave it on sleep/hold or turn it off at night when i go to sleep?

Is it also okay to play on your itouch when you are charging it on a computer?

To the OP I don't think it makes much difference, power consumption whilst in sleep mode is minimal. My 16 month old 2G "itouch" has had no problems and I never turn it off when not in use.

The only thing you need to remember op is if your going to leave it for months at a time make sure it's between 40-50% capacity before you power it off. This keeps the battery in it's optimal storage state.

shouldn't matter...if you jailbroken it and your ipod touch is a MC version, its probably best not to turn it off. I mainly let mine just idle.

I personally leave my iPod Touch on sleep when I'm not using it, I don't notice the battery dropping very drastically when I do so. I don't really think it makes a major difference.

There is no such thing as an itouch. The iPod touch can remain idle for weeks and maintain a decent charge if the wireless is off.
