I'm moving over from Sprint for the sole purpose of getting the Verizon iPhone. We're buying 3 iPhones and 2 non-smartphones (for my daughter and MIL).

What I was considering was siging up with Verizon now and getting the two free basic phones. That would allow me to be an existing customer and entitle me to pre-order the iPhones.

I called to confirm that I could do that with a CSR at Verizon. He said I could, but that even if I pre-ordered on the 3rd, the phones might not arrive for a few weeks (way after the 10th.)

From talking to the guys at the Apple store it sounds like you can walk in on the 10th and get the phone the same day. They also said they recommended coming into the Apple Store because they are more familiar with the iPhones and could do a better job setting them up versus the folks at Verizon.

I'm just wondering if there's gonna be huge lines at the Apple Store on the 10th or if they're going to be sold out before I get there.

What would you guys do?

Thanks!
