My wife's iPhone 5c screen has noticeably brighter & more saturated colors than my iPhone 6 does when compared side by side. Does anyone else think the iPhone 6's screen have a bit of a washed out look to its colors?

Perhaps something is wrong with your phone. You might want to take your phone to an Apple store and compare it side by side with one of their display units.

The iPhone 6 screen is anything but washed out. It has full 100% (or slightly over) Rec.709 color support. In plain English this means that the iPhone 6 is perfectly calibrated to the current HDTV color standard. In fact, there are many HDTVs that can't accurately show 100% of this color gamut.

For now, this is probably one of the best LCD displays on the market.

The iphone 6 has full sRGB so it should be great, the only area where it is slightly off is it's a little blue on the color temperature side, it shouldn't look bad.

You must have a bad 6. My 6 looks better than any previous generation. The blacks are definitely better, and the colors looks much more saturated. Without a case, the screen looks absolutely wet/gooey. I'm not saying it's the best mobile phone screen, but it's definitely the best iPhone screen.

I agree that something must be wrong with the 6 display you are looking at.

Every 6 I have seen has a very bright display with excellent contrast ratio (even slightly superior to the 6+).

I'm not saying her phone is brighter, I'm saying it's got a higher color saturation. Her screen's colors have a richer color than mine do.

You have one of the infamous "yellow" screens.

Its a defect. Happens with every release. It wont get better. Get it replaced.

Thanks, I'm going to head to Apple and get it checked out tomorrow.

Agree. If you compare the home screen icons with another phone it does look faded. For example, the bottom of the app store icon should be a deeper shade of blue. Also the settings icon shouldn't appear yellow. LCD screens aren't perfect though. Those who deny there is any issue are fortunate.

Screen is awesome when it's not yellow!

Yep... I had a bad one! Didn't realize how yellow my screen was until I put it next to other iPhones!
