I'm just wondering, since Apple doesn't want to charge for stable versions FaceTime for Mac but has to (in the US, at least) due to some law, does that make it legal/acceptable to download it for free? Betas are free.
 
It's simple: the Beta is free and legal, the Stable version is 1 dollar and if you download it for free that's illegal.

That would be copyright infringement depending on the location of the downloading it may or may not be illegal in the criminal sense of that word..

it comes free in lion so if you are planning on getting that then don't worry
