If I Sold a Mac with cloned harddrive of apps as a backup drive for them is that legal?
 
Only if you give them the original discs for those apps.

That is unless you downloaded them in which case it's illegal right from the get-go.
 
If you're including the original apps disk and license then yes. Otherwise no. Unless they're open source apps.
