Is it locked?

Hi everyone,
I have quite a few iPhones like many of you. Only one is locked from a contract.. The others are all unlocked as I bought them from Apple.

How can one tell if a phone is locked or unlocked? Other than arriving at foreign destination and plugging in SIM chip?.

Put a non carrier sim in the phone. If you have an att phone buy a T-Mobile sim and try it.
