I have just bought 13" unibody MB but I'm having problems with the network connection. The problem is intermittent connection issues to the internet. The router I have is a DrayTek Vigor 2800G. There have been some issues reported on this forum about this router but it's more around the wireless connection, whereas my problem is the same no matter if connected to wireless or ethernet.

UPDATE: I think it definitley is the macbook, as my old Thinkpad and my wife's Thinkpad works perfectly both wired and wireless.

Any ideas what this could be, or where I should start to diagnose the issue? I'm new to Mac so any useful diagnostic tips would be fantastic.

There doesn't seem to be much you can do, except for maybe moving closer to the router, or purchasing a new one.
Are you sure the modem insn't crashing on you though?

Got the problem sorted. It ended up it was a DNS problem. I changed the router to use OpenDNS and everything works perfectly now. Not sure why it was working before on my wife's thinkpad but not the macbook.
