I have owned ipad and ipad 2. I dont remeber the sound ever being this low even on max volume. Anyone else dealing with this?

Seemed lower to me but I was at Best Buy where it was noisy in the store. All the noise was about other stuff and not the Ipad3/new/whatever

I'm finding it louder too!

Last year, when I tried to get an iPad 2, the sound was awful.

This seems more on par with the original iPad now. Nice!

I dont know to me it seems low. Could it just be my ipad ?? Im dumb founded by this.

Played a few tunes, wish I had my old iPad to compare but definitely sounded quieter when I was playing music.

Went to Settings, Music and unchecked Sound Check and that added quite a bit of volume boost.

Sound Check destroys music fidelity. That's problem #1. :D

Are you using a case? Maybe it grips the speaker differently with the new taper and stuff. Also, there could be a dissonance in that some of you are holding it up in the air, and others have it on a table. The taper is different, so the sound it makes while on its back will be different too.

I used to own the first iPad. My new iPads audio is alot louder!! Very impressed by the difference in sound quality. Don't know how it compares to iPad 2 though

The opposite. The audio is significantly improved IMO. I have 2 ipad 1's and I know that the audio on the 1 was better than on the 2. The sound is way better.

The sound is good just wish the speaker was on the top. Sounds amazing if I cup my hand under the speaker to boune the sound towards me.

For me, the volume is lower in regards to the keyboard clicks. Everything else seems fine to my ears.
