When you restore/update your iPhone you hold your breath and cross your fingers through the whole process just hoping that it does not brick, give an error, freeze, get stuck, become accidentally unplugged etc?

I think it's just you. I've had all four iPhone models so far so I guess I'm use to it. That said I've never been worried about such problems.

I still never understand how people actually brick their phones. I fooled around with jail-breaking a time or two and messed up some pretty root-deep **** but in a worse case scenario I've just had to DFU+restore.

Are you jailbroken? Are you downloading betas without being a developer? I guess I've just never worried about it much. It's been completely flawless for me.
