Finally I have arrived.....
I am the sole user for my Macs. So, I have set up only one user (myself) when my Macs boot up. Is it recommended to set up other user accounts for security reasons? My current single user account has all the privileges to install, delete, and edit my Macs.

Not really. Since Mac OS X requires you to authenticate whenever you want to do a privileged operation anyway, it's not much different from having several accounts in the first place. Also, the user you have is not a root account from a Unix perspective.

Unless you're very paranoid, just stick with one user.

yeah, if you have multiple users, i would recommend it, otherwise no. it's really a case of it's-good-for-what-it-says.

Duff-Man says...while you have no real need for multiple accounts, setting a second account can be useful if you are trying to troubleshoot a problem. Seeing if the problem is specific to just a user account or affects all users can help narrow down where your problem is.....oh yeah!
