Is the "new" iMac actually new or is it just an upgrade? I have been waiting for a new one to replace the six year old iMac I have but it seems all Apple does is come up with upgrades but no new models.

This was a refresh, more up-date-modern specs, but still the same design and screen as previous.

Yep, pretty much "Same-O, Same-O.

Maybe iMac will be updated again to stay up with the next releases of Mini Mac, and Pro.

Hope the new Pro comes out this time as a accessible box, not a trash can.

I can hold a little longer. Just waiting. a2

Essentially it's the same design that came out in late '12. Obviously there have been a lot of spec bumps along the way though. I would love to have a '19 model myself, but my late '12 27" with maxed out specs for the time keeps trucking. Hard to believe it's already 7 years old, but I updated to 10.14.4 today just fine so that says a lot right there.
