I'm using the extended cable that is provided with the macbook air, and when its connected to my mba, it makes "harddrive" noise that's really annoying..

i don't hear it when i directly plug it into the wall. It's only when i use the extension cord.

Is anybody having the same issue?

Its not normal. Have you tried a different extension cord... or maybe a power strip?

Yeah mine is doing the same thing. I read somewhere that it's common and "normal" so I never really paid attention to it...
