I am indeed a newbie to Apple as I used to use Outlook heavily. I am though stuck on this issue. Every time I attach a file to an email or drag a file over to attach it, it only shows up as an image pasted within the body of my email. When I send it, it doesn't seem to show up that way, but for some people it does. My only question is is there a way to attach a file to an email so that it doesn't do this and the files show up as little attachments in my email, similar to Outlook?

Thanks!

How it appears to the recipient depends on the software and configuration that the recipient chooses, which you have no control over. This is an ongoing issue with emails. For example, if I want to send photos in the body of an email, so they appear between text, I can easily do that with Mail. If I send it to several recipients, some may see those pictures in the body, as I intended, and some may only see them as attachments.
