My computer is a 2009 Imac 27 inch. I have a gaming pc which has a 6950 2gb connected to the display port on the Imac. When I play games using the imac as a monitor, the upper left side of the Imac (backside when looking at the screen) gets pretty hot. Is this normal behavior when using the imac as a monitor for another pc? I thought that since I wasn't using the Imac GPU to process my games, it should not be getting any hotter than normal.

As Intell said, it's quite normal. iStat Pro will track your temps, fan speeds, etc., but your Mac will manage all of that without user involvement. If it ever truly overheated, it would automatically shut down to prevent damage.

Thanks guys. I thought this was where the GPU was located. Now it makes complete sense!
