Hello,

I am a storm chaser and use my g3 imac desktop computer in my home office for running weather radar programs and forecast products for planning my chase locations.. I also use my g3 powerbook pismo laptop as a portable data terminal when out chasing.. macs are the best made. my question is though, is it ok to leave a g3 imac turned on for long periods of time since it is an all in one unit and doesnt have a fan for internal cooling.... dont really want to burn it up or cause a problem in the house. i notice the top of the case by the handle where the air vents is gets really kind of warm, not hot enough to melt the plastic but warm none the less. am i hurting it by letting it stay powered up for 8 hours or more even if it goes to sleep... dark screen and such or am i concerned about nothing.
:apple:'s are really the best
