is it possible to always display timestamp for text messages on iPhone SE and 7?

I know I can swipe left and see the timestamps, but they go away as soon as I release my finger.

Swiping to the left is the only way to do it for every message. (Aside from using another messenger app that might show that or have options for that, or perhaps being jailbroken and using some tweak that allows for that in the Messages app.)
