Y'all probably know this line you'll see in the address bar saying a website is not secure. Sometimes we'll see a bigger message displayed over the page as well. This is usually with websites that aren't HTTPS or so.

Sometimes only the message in the address bar will show up and the site will still open up.

Does anyone know if there's a way to (natively) completely block these sites, so they don't even open up? I want all "not secure" sites to not ever open at all.

There doesn’t seem to be any easy way to do this — there are methods but involved.

That said, I’ll leave you these:

Switch on HTTPS-Only Mode in Safari

Unlike Chrome, Edge, and Firefox, Safari doesn’t have an HTTPS-only mode. However, what it does have is the ability to automatically switch sites from HTTP to HTTPS if available. The feature is enabled by default with Safari 15 on macOS Monterey, macOS Big Sur, and macOS Catalina.

* I am not vouching for the Safari extension, I simply came across it in searching this topic.
