I want to use a single laptop in all my workplaces so that I don't need to sync OS and app configurations on different machines. I want a single OS (bootcamp) everywhere. Currently I use a Thunderbolt dock to turn my Macbook into a desktop computer at home or at work. Now it can do everything except high end gaming. I thought about buying external Thinderbolt video card enclosure but it will still be not enough because macbooks cooling system can't handle 100% CPU load for extended periods of time, it starts throttling.

So I thought what if I buy a PC with a Thunderbolt port and will boot it from Macbook's SSD (bootcamp). It will be sort of external Thunderbolt CPU+Video. It will have a benefit of having the same OS as laptop but will lack hotplug and access to laptops hardware (which is no big deal). But is this possible? If I had a PC with a Thinderbolt port is it technically possible to boot it from Macbook's internal SSD?
