Hi guys,
is it possible to order the iphone 5s factory unlock at this time?
I travel out of country often for my work and I like to have the phone unlock for foreign service when I'm overseas.

I went to the apple store and had no luck with them. they have iphone 5s for AT&T, but it's pointless to pay upfront price (off contract) for a lock device that I can't use a foreign sim in.

As people have said in previous threads, if you buy a full-price phone with no contract, the phone will be unlocked. They, however, do not advertise this and sometimes give customers misinformation.

The Verizon 5s is unlocked out of the box due to a FCC ruling. It has both CDMA and GSM bands.

Yes, get a Verizon or AT&T 5S for full price device only and it will be unlocked.
They just wont tell you that and most times they will misinform you but rest assured.
Those will be 100% unlocked.

Don't forget t mobile iPhones purchased from apple, although they are a royal pain to try to get right now

I'm currently using T-mobile right now, would getting an AT&T iphone make any difference as far as 4G data is concern? I though they were different data frequency for T-mobile and AT&T?

This also concerns the Verizon iphone as well. I mean besides the fact that I can make calls with it, would I be able to take full advantage of T-mobile data network considering that those devices are design for their particular network data frequency?
