Hi,

I will be traveling to China in the next couple of weeks and have a connecting flight from Hong Kong. Since unlocked iPhones are legally sold in Hong Kong, I was interested in purchasing one there. However my only concern is that the warranty will not cover it in the US, where I will use it the most. If I buy applecare from the US, will it cover the internationally bought iPhone?

Also, since I don't have much time, can I purchase it from the airport (Hong Kong International)?

But you may be able to have your home/contents insurance cover it. Even some bank accounts will cover it.
