Im interested in an ipad 3g for traveling purposes, but not interested in the subscription model for data. Are there prepaid sim's with say, 1gb or 2gb of data available that you can purchase and use over a long period without a subscription?

I feel like i have enough subscriptions and while i understand its available on a monthly basis, I'd still prefer to get a large chunk of prepaid data and use over the long haul at my leisure

Both AT&T and Verizon allow you to purchase data month-to-month (it seems you already know this though). AFAIK, you cannot purchase a set amount of data and have a long time to use it. It resets every month.

I know.in france it's possible. I live in paris and it's possible but i don't know if it's possible in USA
