is it possible to charger your iphone while its off?

You can plug in your iPhone and THEN turn it off. This will still charge it, and the phone will be off.
 
Plug it in to the charger then turn off the iPhone. Don't turn it off, then plug it in. Because, then it'll only turn back on again.
