Is it possible to disable auto horizontal scrolling in Finder ?

Case: When I have multiple folders with a long name and I expand the size in Column view, when selecting one of these folders, the horizontal scroll shows the next column but I dont want that. When the size of the column is not modified the next column contents displays without shifting the view.
