Is it possible to disable LTE on the Verizon iPhone 5? Some places may have a weak LTE signal and it would be better to have 3G on instead. Is this possible to do on the Verizon iPhone 5?

Yes, there is a toggle under Settings>General>Cellular>Toggle Enable LTE.

Supposedly though, battery life on 4G is equivalent to 3G. At least in my area, 2 bars of 4G coverage is ridiculously faster than full 3G. Maybe battery life would be better on 3G though if it is constantly searching for 4G?

(btw, I know the pic says ATT. I found it online. It is the same on Verizon though.

Just tested and I get around 15mbps down and 13mbps up here in a college town on 3 bars. These speeds really are ridiculous to the full bar 3G speeds I had before!
