I've got a MacPro - finally made the switch over from PC - and wanted to print a screen shot. In Windows, I just did a control+print screen. Is there a function within this OS without having to buy or get separate software?

Thanks

Command Shift 3 - Take screenshot of entire screen
Command Shift 4 - Click and drag to take a screenshot of a specific area

It'll save to the desktop.

While others have answered the question let me elaborate, you cannot print screen in OSX like you do in windows. Not in the sense where you print.

...and Control+Command+Shift+3 (or 4) copies the file to the clipboard (instead of a file on your desktop) allowing you to paste it into a document, etc.
