Hello.

I have iOS 4.2 on my iPhone 4 and I'd like to change it.

IMO, 4.1 is better and I want to downgrade. Is it possible?

Yes, but only if you have your SHSH blobs (Google them).

And a simple MRoogle search would have shown you many threads about this already.

I don't have any SHSH blobs. Can I download someones?

Download Tinyumbrella, plug in your iPhone and click "Get SHSH". If it is able to get the SHSH blobs for 4.1, then you can go back to it. If it cannot, then you will never be able to go to 4.1 on that iPhone.

Ok, I downloaded TinyUmbrella, I clicked 'Save SHSH' and it saved and now what? :) I'm sorry for my stupid questions, but I really need help with that :).

What versions does TinyUmbrealla say it has for you iPhone. It should say it right in the main window.

Unfortunately it says, that installed version is 4.2.1 and baseband is 03.10.01-ICE_2_8.

So I should have done when I had 4.0.2...

In the centre of the main window there is a list titled "All saved SHSHs:" What does it say in there?

So, I wouldn't be able to downgrade to 4.1. Because, when I wanted do upgrade from 4.0.2 to 4.1 I had a trouble with 3194 error.

I am not too sure, but if you get the file for 4.1, you can press alt restore. Then it will let you choose a file to restore the iPhone to.

I am pretty sure this works.

It only works in the SHSH blobs for the firmware is saved or available from Apple. The OP doesn't have the ones for 4.1 and Apple isn't signing them anymore. So s/he cannot go to 4.1.

I wanted to that, but Apple doesn't allow do that anymore :(.

Nope. You have to have the SSH files saved. If you haven't saved them before you can't go back. Apple stopped signing the 4.1 firmware

So now I have to wait for the next iOS, because this one really sucks. It is much slower than 4.1...
