Is it possible to flash a GPU from VMWare or Wineskin?

Hey, I don’t use bootcamp, never have. I've always had a VMWare windows setup and used Wineskin for various apps. I want to flash a GPU and am wondering if there is a way to do it without bootcamp. I don't believe VMWare typically utilizes GPU passthrough but maybe someone else knows if there is a way?
 
I'm interested in the PNY GTX 680 2gb, they seem to be easier and cheaper to come by than EVGA ones. Could I use Zeus to flash this if not wineskin or vmware windows?
