Is it possible to install Windows 7 Ultimate on my Mac without erasing my Mac OS Lion

Hi i have been looking at tutorials and they all say i have to clean install Windows 7 on it (which is fine obviously) but they say i also have to clean install Mac OS X, can i do it keeping my Mac OS Lion and everything on it, but move it to one partition and then the other partition a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate, so i am not effecting my current Mac OS Lion at all.

Yes you setup a bootcamp partition using the assistant and win 7 will live on that one only.
