iPhone 11 Pro Is it possible to miss an iMessage while you are updating iOS on iPhone?

While an iMessage isn’t a text message in the sms tradition either should arrive after the update completed.

When the device is offline (turned off, airplane mode, too far from a cell tower) messages will collect on the server. When the phone pings home & is ready, the messages come streaming down. An hour, day, week, month, year, it doesn't matter.
