Is it possible to order online and then go buy in person?

I'd be signing a new contract with AT&T. So can I order from Apple.com at 12am and then that same day go on a hunt and tryi to buy a phone from AT&T? And if I do, go cancel my Apple order later? How does that work

If you order online at Apple your contract pricing with AT&T would be used up. So when you go to AT&T you wouldn't be getting the subsidized pricing. I would check with Apple if you can setup a new account with AT&T. I would personally start with AT&T since you are a new customer.
