Like the title, is it possible to pre-order in an apple store on the 15th or does it have to be done via the web?

I'm positive you can preorder in the store. I'm not positive, but I think you can put money down towards the phone when you preorder if you'd like, so that would be a "benefit?" of doing it in the store. You can't put any money down if you preorder it online.

My friend already pre-ordered his at the AT&T store, he got connections btw.

So basically he was put on a pre-pre-order list? Since there is no pre-order list yet, he was put on another list of people to be added to the pre-order list when available?

I put my name on my own pre-pre-order list too. I guess I've got connections too.

Here's an idea.

1. Go into the Apple store
2. Sit down at one of the display computers. iMac, MacBook, etc. - doesn't matter.
3. Start a Safari session.
4. Go to the Apple site, or ATT site
5. Pre-order

Well I'd like a way to preorder and pay in cash yet have it delivered. Can't go to the apple store since I won't have the car that day.

I'm going to pre-order in an AT&T store and have it shipped to my house. The only reason is that I'm using another line's upgrade eligibility and I want to make sure that will be handled OK and that I don't lose my unlimited data plan on my line.

Plus, Apple had issues last year with Family Shared Messaging plans, and ours is a Premier account, so that's a lot of reasons to just let AT&T handle it.

Go in store now, buy an Apple gift card with cash. Use the gift card online June 15th to pay for your pre-order. Have your pre-order shipped to you.
