Hi, My iPod touch screen has many little scratches and blemishes. I don't want it like that--so, would a repair center be able to replace the screen (or maybe just the outer scratched layer of the screen)? Any ideas of how much that would cost? Thanks!

ifixit.com has all that information. You didn't mention what generation iPod you own. why not try some polishing compound on the glass surface first?

Replacing the screen is a little extreme for just a few scratches, but yes, it is possible. Apple might be able to replace it but there are plenty of sites and businesses that will fix it for you.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I don't live in the States. DIY special tools and parts are hard to come by here in Dubai. My iPod touch is 3rd generation. I will take it to a store and see what they say...

I just wanted to know if replacing the screen was possible at all...
