Is it possible to test a 17''screen from a early 2006 imac intel core duo

Hi there forum members.

I'd like some help... I have a screen from a 17'' intel core duo imac (Early 2006). The imac is not booting up and I would like to either, repair it or sell off the parts. Is it possible to test if the screen is working with out the computer booting up?
