Hi, I have the old Ipod Mini 6GB and I think I have around 1500 songs inside which I downloaded years ago using my old Windows computer. Now, that computer was broken and I would like to know if I can transfer the songs from my Ipod Mini to my Macbook computer ? It would really be great if I could transfer it all so I could use and listen to the songs on my Itunes and transfer them to my Iphone.

Can anyone pls. help me out. Thanks and I will appreciate any response.

Hi, thank you so much for the quick response.. I am just wondering if this Expod would really work when I plug my Ipod Mini to my Mac .. I just don't want to lose all of the music I downloaded.. I will never be able to get it back.

I need assurance. Thanks again.

It worked for me with several iPods. exPod and Senuti. Nothing got deleted.

Alright.. I might try it after this post but what do you mean Expod and Senuti ??
Should I install both ?

I first used Senuti, when it was still freeware, then it got commercial, so I chose exPod.

So you either use Senuti or exPod, but you don't need both.

thanks. But I think this Senuti is not a freeware.. Now what to do ? Pls. help.

That's why I used the simple past with Senuti.

As exPod is still freeware, and hasn't got commercial yet, I use exPod.

Select the songs you want to copy.

Then click EXTRACT.

In this preferences you can set how the files are named.

Okay,I found a video on youtube on how to use it. But one question, will it be alright to delete Expod after I transferred all my music to my computer or should I just leave Expod to be inside my computer ?
Thanks again.

Oh I just saw your post. Thanks again spinner. You are awesome !

Hi again Spinner,
I'm such an idiot on this topic, it says I have transferred 294 songs out of 490. I do not know why I did not have it all. Now, my question and I think this would be final :D

How will I transfer the 294 songs to my Itunes ??? I made a folder on my desktop and it's just sitting there. I dont see the songs on my Itunes yet.
Pls. help again. thanks

Have you taken a look at the links I gave you?

The ones with www.apple.com in front.

Open iTunes, and drag the folder onto iTunes window or icon.

This procedure makes copies of the music and places those copies into Macintosh HD / User / YOU / Music / iTunes.

After that is done, you can safely delete the folder on the Desktop.

Make sure you have the following checkbox checked in iTunes > Preferences (like it is in the image).

Btw, have you selected all songs via CMD+A or did you select them by hand?

You have to be more specific and tell us what you already did and tried.

Either Senuti or Expod.
Senuti is no longer free (around $25 I think) and Expod is
still free.
