The above is the specs of the Macbook Pro which I am currently using. However, slowly I am filling up the hard drive. Is it possible to backup the current drive and have it replaced with a 1tb? Has anybody done Cost roughly as I live in Japan

Thanking you

Apple uses a proprietary SSD, so your options are limited. You can try searching ebay for someone who's selling the component. I know in the US, there's Mac Sales. Transcend also has a Jet Drive though I don't know if your drive is support

I think your simplest solution is to use the external Samsung T5 SSD. I have an older model and that's running osx for my iMac.

Best bet is to sell yours and buy one with a bigger SSD

The other option is buy a 13" model or an Air, you can swap the SSD's out and then sell the Air with the smaller SSD

I agree with maflynn above.

Get a fast external like the Samsung T5.

Then, take a really hard, good look at the internal drive, and ask yourself a question:
Are there files there, that really don't need to be there, in day-to-day usage?

If so, "move them off" to the T5, and "clean up" your internal drive.

The internal flash SSD -can- be replaced, but the options really aren't that desirable.
Unless you could get a second-hand 1tb OEM flash drive from ebay or somewhere...
