I purchased a Late 2008 MBP back in October. I was wondering, does Apple have a program to send in my MBP, to have the battery upgraded, to an 8hr battery?

Or, is this not possible?

Thanks!

Not possible. Completely different form factor and technology. You might be able to find an aftermarket battery with a longer battery life, but I don't know of any.

Yes, they would make so much money if they released an 8hr battery addon for older macbooks.

I dont think its possibly, but I would definatly buy one.

I would spend anywhere from $100-$300 for a 8hr battery.

New battery for us?

How about this battery here? It probably won't give us 8 hours but it does have a higher capacity if I'm not mistaken:

It uses lithium polymer tech!

And has a capacity of 5200mAh as opposed to the current's 4600mAh (right?).

Hope their info is correct. It's not an original battery though so no surprise if it's better. I've seen a few batteries on eBay like this one.
