i hav an iphone 3GS running iOS 4.1 jailbroken and unlocked(using ultrasnow).
i want to updrade it to iOS 5.0.1 using snowbreeze.
but since apple has stop signing iOS so is it possible to upgrade?
if yes then how?

Open cydia and look at the top of the page.
It will list what shsh blobs you have for that device.
You can restore to any versions listed up there.
No blobs, no restore to any firmware but the latest one.

ok great i hav the blobs.
now how do i make use of them?
do i need to do anything other than the normal snow breeze jailbreak method, like including the blobs or something while cooking the cutom ipsw?

Restoring and jailbreaking are entirely different procedures.
