i'm using hotmail and it's been a while that i know Mail doesn't support hotmail, until today...i found a post, below
http://www.switchingtomac.com/tutorials/how-to-check-your-hotmail-using-mailapp/

it shows how to connect hotmails; however, i was concerned about safety.
it seems that mails are received through incoming server and outgoing server which i'm quite not familiar with.
will my personal info or mails be stored somewhere else or one might get touch to them some way or the other??
sorry, i'm skeptical:confused:

This is true for ALL email. It passes through a number of servers. You have no control of. email is never private or confidential. No mater what software you use. Using hotmail, Google, Apple's "mail app" or whatever it doe not change this.

Think of email as being like a postcard. Anyone who handles it at the post office can read the messages. But for the most part the postmen don't bother

If you don't like this you can encrypt your mail

Same goes for the telephone system too. Your voice is broadcast on the air. It is easy to intercept but for the most part few people bother to listen

got it, i guess that means we either have to compromise or give up using.
thanks:)
