caches are used to make your computer run faster when they are deleted they regenerate right after but if you do delete them everything will be slow for a bit until u get enough caches back so its not recommend you deleted them unless you have some problem

Mine is only 6.4mb. That's 6 month's of caching.

My mac must think the crappy apps I use aren't worth disk space.

Unless you're experiencing a problem, I wouldn't delete them. They are there for a reason.

Bearing in mind that there are two Caches folders, and the one in User>Library is MUCH bigger than in MacintoshHD>Library.

Mine is HUWUWUWUWUWUWUGE.
