Is it safe to download Bluestacks app on my Mac?

I observed the free game "Hay Day" and am interested in trying to play it. My phone is not that smart, so I wonder if it is safe to download Bluestacks app, which I read is how I can start playing the Hay Day game.

From what I have heard, this app has not been upgraded for some time and will cause all kinds of issues.
