Is it safe to scan to Network Folder? (HP Laserjet AIO)

Hello, bought a HP Laserjet AIO recently. One feature of the AIO is that it can scan documents to Network Folder. For privacy, is it safe to scan confidential documents to such folder? Can hackers hack to such network folder? Thanks.
