Is it safe to update to iTunes 10 on jailbroken 4.0

Hi all

So my question is in the thread title. I have a jailbroken iPod Touch which runs on 4.0 and used jailbreakme to do this.

Today I start up my laptop and it says there's a new iTunes version. In the past I've read that this could give troubles to jailbroken iPods, so is this is also the case with this update?

Yes, it will be fine. See this thread. Also, I have 4.0 on my 2g and it has been playing nice with iTunes 10.

I have iTouch 2nd Gen 32gb and jailbroken with BlackRain before... so I can upgrade to 4.02 and then Jailbreak still even though it is 4.02? Thanks

Not sure about with blackra1n, but I know if you download the latest version of redsn0w you just point it at the 4.0 software file and it'll easily jailbreak 4.0.2 (this is how I did it).
