Hey,
I recently bought a used Magic Trackpad (USB-C version) that didn’t come with the original Apple cable. Right now I’m using a third-party USB-C to USB-C cable, and everything seems to work fine - it charges and connects without issues.
However, I’m a bit worried about long-term battery health or possible charging problems.
Does anyone here use their Magic Trackpad with a non-original cable on a regular basis?
Is there any reason to buy the official Apple USB-C cable, or is it just the same as any decent high-quality one?
For context, I mostly use the trackpad connected to my Mac mini M2 via cable and sometimes disable Bluetooth entirely.
Thanks in advance for any insights or experiences!
