Is it safe to use an alcohol pad on your 15" MacBook Pro keyboard 2019 model?

I have a 2019 MacBook Pro 15"

I recently used an alcohol pad to wipe down my keyboard, and I've noticed a tremendous improvement in my overall experience. I know it sounds basic, but typing just feels so much better and smoother. It feels like new again, but I am worried about the possibility of damaging my computer using an alcochol pad.

I also used a microfiber cloth for the screen to get all the dust away and it looks awesome now. Just like new.

My question is, is it safe to use the alcohol pad on the keyboard? Obviously, I would never use it on the screen.

Well, I've been using the Zeiss alcohol wipes every couple weeks or so for the past 5 years. Never had a problem. The link I posted mentions using isopropyl alcohol. Heck, even the support articles for the Pro Display XDR mention it.

I've been using 70%-90% isopropyl rubbing alcohol on every Apple device, keyboard, screen, watch, phone for years now. No problems. Lysol wipes and Clorox products leave a residue. Rubbing alcohol doesn't.

It was my understanding that alcohol will remove the anti reflective coating over time, especially on screens that already have pock marks and scratches. I think the same would happen on keyboard keys.

Once in a while, but try something like ScreenMom Cleaner and a microfiber. No residue and safely cleans your computer. Don't spray directly on the computer either, just the cloth and then wipe. Common sense is the other ingredient.
