Is it still possible to unlock iPhone 3GS 4.1?

I know it has to be on 06.15.00 and I've done it many times in the past, but how is this possible? The iPhone has to be updated to 4.2.1 in order to update to the iPad baseband 6.15.00. But I don't have SHSHs for it (because it's not my iPhone).

iPad base and works all the way up to 4.3.3 on 3GS. Why not update to that?

I guess you'll have to wait until we have an untethered jailbreak for 4.3.4.
