Need some help with a purchasing decision.

Is it stupid to get the Series 3 Cellular in the UK that only works on EE if i'm on another network (3) that doesn't support the apple watch, not sure when they will support it if ever? and i have about 10 months left on my contract

Not sure what one to get!

I moved to EE so I could use the cellular watch but was lucky to have a rolling one month contract with 3. 10 months is a long time to wait but moving to EE has also given me back Visual Voicemail, the lack of which really bugged me on 3.

If you’re planning to keep the watch two or three years, I’d say get the cellular one; if you like to upgrade tech regularly, get the other one. My feeling is that the Series 3 watch will see me through at least a couple of years.

If you have a need for 16 GB storage instead of 8 it might still make sense to get the Cellular version. And you won't feel like slapping yourself in case you decide to switch to a compatible provider down the road.

I think summer and warmer months is when I’ll use the cell connection the most. When I have my coat I’m pretty okay bringing my phone with me, it was such an amazing thing when it first came out and it was rather warm where I live and I was just leaving my phone behind.

That said I’m glad to have it in winter for my outdoor runs and its always a plus for the double storage capacity that I do take advantage of

FTW, exactly why I bought the LTE version

I second this. The additional storage + a pair of AirPods and you can use this thing like an iPod. It’ll also be worth more when you inventively sell it to upgrade to a new Apple Watch at some point, even if you never use the LTE.

Also, if you’re getting the aluminum watch (i assume you are since th stainless steel models are LTE only), the LTE models have a ceramic back plate rather than a composite (plastic) one. A worth while difference in my opinion.
