It happens so frequently, when I touch the screen it wouldn't respond as expected and I have to touch again, it's really annoying. Is it because of the screen protector? But it's by Belkin, which I suppose it to be the one of the best protector in the market. Or is it because it wasn't applied to the screen perfectly? I applied it carefully, without alignment tool though. Or should I peel off the screen protector now and use the phone without it?

I had the same issue once on 11 pro max & 13 pro max from cheap glass screen protectors. After I’ve removed them touch problem seems to be sorted

Is Belkin's also considered to be a "cheap" protector?
After removal, do you still use any protector?

the problem with screen protectors is that you have to be precise... i have spent more than $300 on screen protectors and ended up going naked. the phone will fail eventually ...

Well, I take your advice and go naked, but now, the problem is, how to peel it off? I have never done this before

Just lift up one corner & peel. If you think it’s going to snap, then grab a second corner from the same end & peel both up.

Belkin I’ve found are a waste of money for numerous products. Not worth the money imo.

no no. depends on your environment.if you live in a dusty environment id recommend keeping it on.

and as to peel it off, just lift 1 corner and if it starts to crack lift the other corner.

Omg! Belkin has this touch problem I saw their screen protector and it was costly so I went with Gadgetshieldz film screen guard. This one I installed with liquid as instructed and it was easy to apply too, I'm using it for a year now and I don't have any touch issues as you mentioned!

I agree with the consensus that you can probably go without a screen protector, especially if your Eye Phone is a 12 or 13. The strength of the front glass makes screen protectors largely redundant and unnecessary.

I am not sure if I live in a dusty environment but I am living in an urbanized area densely populated. After all, I am fed up with the touch problem so I have to peel if off. The problem is the edge of the protector fits so snugly I am unable to crack a corner

I didn't pay intentionally for the protector it was a free gift when purchasing the phone.

by the way, how about the back and edges of the iPhone 12? Does it get scratched easily? I want to go without the case too

You can get a shell-case like mine. It’s more of a scratch preventing case…

use your nail to pick it up. or you can do it my way by using a metal ruler...

I think it is silicon-coated plastic because I used one case for my old Redmi K20 pro phone which comes with a silicon case that is plastic but doesn't scratch the side frame. Your phone looks good without any scratches!
It does feel like it’s a soft-touch plastic. Slightly slippery, but the improved grip of the phone from not having any sides makes up for it.

I agree that the shatter resistance of the front glass has been improved but scratch resistance hasn't which is one of the reasons people use tempered glass screen protectors. I personally don't like them but can understand why some swear by them..

Yeah soft-touch plastic but gives a good grip if your hands are not 100% dry LOL!

Interesting post with ironic timing ? -- After I posted that I didn't think screen protectors were necessary, I had second thoughts (I figured I might as well be on the safe side) and went down to the Apple store and bought one for my phone. Then I came home and saw your post -- ??
