I ordered the iPhone 6 through Verizon. Still on back order!
Had a chat with Verizon sales tonight said I would have to go to Apple store to purchase Apple Care, nearest store is hundreds miles away.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

I believe you can also purchase AppleCare+ over the phone. They just require you to connect the device to a computer for a diagnostic.

You don't connect to a computer. They email you a link to run a diagnostic on the iPhone remotely.

I find it easier to call on a different phone to the iPhone you're having insured though.

I just called and they sent the text to me. Clicked the link and ran the diagnostic. Paid them and now I'm covered to 9/19/16.

Did you connect to PC while doing this?

You don't have to connect to anything.

What's the difference really between AppleCare and square trade.

There have been a few horror stories around here over the years about SquareTrade. I remember in one case they repaired the devices in a way that involved bending the device back it to shape, or so they thought.

If I remember correctly the only advantage to ST is that they cover lost and stolen devices, this may have changed though.

Nice part of Care is if you sell phone in a year, you can either transfer balance of Care to new owner. Get better price. Or you can cancel balance of Care and get money back if you have not needed to use it in first year

I got $45 refunded for remaining 11 months on my 5s.
