All iPads Is it too much to ask for 1 Car Charger for everything??

I don't know about you guys, but we have multiple devices requiring different chargers:

Verizon cell phone with Micro-USB
iPhone 4S with 30 Pin Connector
iPad 3 with 30 Pin Connector
iPad Mini with Lightning Connector.

It would really be nice if all these companies would play nice together and standardize charging ports so us poor consumers wouldn't have to keep buying new chargers; (LOL).

I would like to have one charger for the car that would accomodate all and charge two devices at one time.

And, a bonus would be to find one charger for the house that accomodate all and charge two devices at one time.

Any suggestions?

I use this. Dual, standardized, charging ports for the 12V socket in each of our cars.

There is a European Union mandate requiring this for all phones sold there. Not that apple will ever fully comply with the spirit of it- they're just providing a microUSB to lightening adapter.

FlatlinerG,.....The car charger in you link above is a SCOSCHE usbc202m VOLT c2 - Dual 10 Watt (2.1A) USB Car Charger, and looks to be the best solution.

As the description notes, it has two 10W usb ports, which will handle the 10W charging requirement of the iPads, whereas some of the other USB chargers are only 5W

The EU mandate is to have a universal charger in order to minimize waste.

Apple ships a universal charger that can be used with it's own handsets, or others. With an adapter from the universal connector to the Apple connector, that allows the Apple devices to charge off their own or other manufacturer's AC-DC charging adapter.

Apple complies to both the letter, and intent and spirit of the law.

Even 5W will charge an iPad, though slowly.

The rest you are correct, that's impressive Scotsche managed to squeeze that much into such a small form factor.

I half want to replace my Griffin's now, except I so seldom use for iPad, being that it lasts a good 8-10 hours, I just charge it overnight.

Any suggestions?
Get the charger in post 3 or similar, a 30 pin dock connector cable, a micro USB cable and a micro USB to lightning charge adapter if you're trying to slim it down.

Is it too much to ask for 1 Car Charger for everything??
Considering reality, yes.

Is it too much to ask people to stop using "It it too much to ask...?", "Am I the only...?" and "In this day and age..."?
