in the thread showing that uncredited and credited features added in 2.1 it says that the autolock screen now says pm on it and am, but mainly only works if u do a clean 2.1 install as in restore i guess with no back up?

can anyone explain to me is this true?

Works for me on home screen and the autolock screen, and I didn't do a clean install - just upgraded.

What is this AM/PM you speak of? :p
1530 hours can NOT be confused with 0330 hours!
But anyway, still won't budge from 1.1.4 till Steve Jobs personal emails me and requests it !

It can be if you're in the US and your clock is set to 12 hour...

Doesn't show up with mine either (AT&T). Does anyone with AT&T have this?

You have to go in to settings / general / international

Set region format to United Kingdom, then make sure your date and time format is set to 12 hour format. Now the AM/PM will show up on the home screen when locked.

for some reason not everyone got that update. I didn't get it but I did not do a clean install

How sad are you? - Just think of the amount of extra features. Why won't you update?

AM/PM shows up on my AT&T iPhone if I switch from 24hr time to 12hr time. I didn't do a clean install.

Tried that, even rebooted and checked that the settings were the same. Nothing

Worked for me, interesting feature. I dont really like it, but it was interesting to see.

On AT&T, only did an upgrade, and it is not showing the AM/PM on mine on the unlock screen.

Tried toggling the setting back and forth a few times between 12 and 24 settings, still nothing.

extra features?
Heck I've had tethering for a year (Apple can't take it away)
I've had 3rd party apps for a year, some that are still NOT available on 2.X.
From what I've read prob. the most stable firmware out to date (ALoD ring a bell?)
Incredible battery life, 4-7 days between charges with 16~ hour talk time and moderate surfing on edge/wifi and some music or a movie.

Hows that VoIP app coming along in the app store?
Hows that MMS app coming along in the app store?
Yeah I sure miss those 'new' features in 2.x

For me the 3g/2.x iPhone/firmware just doesn't bring enough to the plate to switch/update.

the united kingdom setting works, but then inside the main screen no longer shows an am/pm it will only show on the lock screen lol.

w/e the am/pm looks a bit weird and bit on the main screen.

but DOES Anyone with AT&T have it? or no?

If you jailbreak you can probably customize the region packages and have it the way you want everywhere.
